I’m not entirely sure why I started wearing the number seven on my hockey jersey. I think it may have been the first number I ever wore. I probably chose it when I was playing tee ball (or coach pitch) and I was seven years old at the time. I also remember seeing the number drawn with a line through the middle of it. It made the number unique. Another reason is because I liked slurpees from 7-Eleven. After that it just kinda stuck.
